Classic Theatre Cumbria is supporting the Mayor of Carlisle’s Annual Charity Fundraising by presenting a unique and quirky evening on Saturday November 26 in the Old Court Rooms in the Citadel Buildings on the Railway Station side of English Street, Carlisle, beginning at 7.15pm.
The evening consists of a Cocktail Party with the Mayor, a short talk about the history of the court and some anecdotes, a tour of the oak-panelled former Crown Court and cells. The highlight of the night is a performance of John (‘Rumpole of The Bailey’) Mortimer's hilarious and touching two-man play, 'The Dock Brief' in The Old Courtroom featuring two of the Company’s leading actors; John Davies (Shakespearean Actor & CTC Artistic Director) and Jon Rush (ex-Chief Superintendent of Police).
It will be an excellent evening, and for an excellent cause!
